The organization's purpose is to receive and maintain funds for distribution to other charitable organizations that are also registed charities under the income tax act. The support waves foundation was established and recieved it's intial funding in late 2022. While no charitable programs had run in 2022 trustees had been evaluating initiatives adn planning for qualified donees to be supported in 2023. There were no costs incurred for this planning. The initial funding was temporarily parked in low risk gics until plans were solidified. Disbursements for approved programs began in 2023.
