The organization was founded in 1968 to provide an introduction for children between the ages of 3 and 17 to the fundamental techniques of musical training professional discipline public performance and the complex world of opera. The organization is the only permanent children's opera company in canada that regularly commissions and performs operatic and choral repertoire for children's voices.
