The society operates a youth parliament program which involves educating youth in public speaking and leadership skills and carrying out group and individual service projects aimed at serving the youth of british columbia. The program includes the operation of an annual session of the british columbia youth parliament (bcyp) in victoria each december for youth between the ages of 6 and 21 from across the province. It also includes smaller regional youth parliaments for high school students and other youth service projects in various locations throughout the year.
