The Waterville and District Volunteer Fire Department provides fire protection services including first response to emergencies within the district and participates in the mutual aid system with other fire departments within the County of Kings. Responses can include assistance to fire services in neighbouring Departments through the Mutual Aid system. A second role of the Volunteers is raise funds to support the purchase of firefighting and emergency response equipment.
