At vancouver food runners our mission is to respond to the unfortunate disconnect between the fact that over 40% of all food produced is wasted or lost while one in nine household in british columbia are food insecure. Oue aim is to prevent perfectly good food from entering the waste stream - where it will negatively harm our enviroment - and instead redirect it to nonprofits in vancouver that work with the most vulnerable members of our community. We belive good food belong to people not landfills!
