Upper Nashwaak Community Outreach Inc. is a charitable organization based in Stanley, New Brunswick, classified by the CRA under organizations relieving poverty. It appears on the charity register the way hospitals, universities, and other publicly funded bodies do — to issue tax receipts — rather than as a donation-driven charity in the usual sense. In its fiscal year ending March 31, 2024, it reported $1.9M in revenue and $1.9M in expenditures.

Its funding that year was roughly 88% from government. Government funding is the majority of its budget.

Compared with 1,618 poverty-relief institutions of similar size, its share of spending on mission — charitable programs plus grants to other charities — ranked above 57% of peers. Its highest-paid positions fell in the $40,000–79,999 range (5 positions in that band). The charity reported 13 permanent full-time positions.

Its filed list of directors and trustees shows 7 names.

In its own words

The organization provides a homecare program for senior and disabled persons in their community. This is a program to enable seniors and disabled to stay in their own homes and family surroundings. It helps them remain dependent. Seniors prefer to stay home if at all possible and this program enables that to happen. It is a well worthwhile program. They have a meals on wheels program - 3 days a week. They offer and administrate an emergency response system.
