The mission of the society is to promote the importance of vision care through education presentations and epidemiological research and the donation of eyeglasses and eye exams to the poor in overseas eye clinics. This year the society continued to collect donated eyeglasses from the general public. The eyeglasses were cleaned sorted measures and refurbished so that only quality assured prescription eyewear would be given to poor after a thorough eye exam by twecs optometrists
