The seagull foundation is committed to funding and supporting projects primarily focused on education and the environment. In the pugwash river estuary the foundation has preserved over 175 acres. It has worked in conjunction with the nature conservancy of canada to help identify other areas in this system that should be preserved where possible. The foundation sponsors nature camps for youth at risk. The property is available for schoolchildren biologists and individuals.
