The corporation will attempt to make a lasting difference in the community through the following purpose: To educate the public about the history of the Keewatin transportation on the Great Lakes and Port McNicoll Ontario and the surrounding area and maritime history by: a) establishing and maintaining the Keewatin as a museum (the 'Museum') b) acquiring collecting preserving housing and exhibition historcial materials and objects the museum which relate thereto; and c) providing educational programmes.
