The association is dedicated to promoting national awareness of canada as a maritime nation and of the role maritime forces (particularly the royal canadian navy) play in the security preservation and protection of the three oceans which largely surround canada. This objective is pursued through delivery of an annual conference publications seminars and other events. Grants are awarded to assist organizations which are working toward similar objectives.
