The Association has conducted an annual competitive music festival since 1952 serving the children and youth of NL primarily the Avalon Peninsula. The 2024 Festival was our 73rd Annual Music Festival. The Festival normally occurs during late February and early March with some 1 000 entries and over 1 200 participants in solo/duet vocal and instrumental categories as well as choirs and small ensembles. All entries receive a professional adjudication and compete for awards/scholarships trophies and/or plaques. The Festival uses adjudicators from across Canada from leading Schools of Music.
