The Foundation invests donations and government grants received by it for the benefit of the Calgary Philharmonic Society (the 'Society'). The Trustees in their sole discretion determine the amount of the contribution to the Society based on consideration of a number of factors including the budgetary requirements of the Society the performance of the Foundation's investments and the provisions of the Income Tax Act.
