The society is the sole keeper of the history and maintenance of the historical school teacherage and replica barn which from 1920 were for the education of the childrent of the early homesteaders of the bearspaw area. The society does not own the buildings but is the steward of them. They are situated in the bearspaw area on municipal land owned by rocky view county which is adjacent to calgary alberta.
