The main purpose is to collect and preserve information on the settlements of southern alberta and the families who settled here prior to 1890. The southern alberta pioneers memorial bulding contains some of calgary's most important historical records books photos and artifacts. Activities includes repair and maintenance of the building and rental to select groups for functions that help improve awareness of the resources of the foundation. Funding for these activities is provided through rental revenues donations and grants.
