The purpose of the society are: (a) to establish operate maintain manage and preserve areas for research nature study observance of flora and fauna protection of wildlife habitat instruction in natural history the advancement of public education interpretive centre and use of lands in the vicinity of somenos marsh and other places as may be determined from time to time.
