In its own words

Every year the montreal highland games brings together montrealers of all backgrounds to celebrate scottish sport music and culture. The games represent an exceptional opportunity for participants and visitors alike to discover the rich history and traditions of scotland. Over the years there have been a number of different competitions held at the games including lacrosse long jumping running and quoits but the perennial favourites remain: caber tossing stone throwing piping and highland dancing. The tug-of-war has also made its return.
