School Orchards Africa Society provides funds to purchase fruit tree seedlings for the children of schools in rural areas of Tanzania to plant orchards at their schools. To date the children have planted orchards at 11 different schools with approximately 200 fruit trees in each school. The orchards are flourishing and being cared for by the children - a new life skill. With each orchard we provided funds for a 3000 litre citern to catch rain water from the school roofs to get the orchards started.
