The SMHA consists entirely of volunteers with no paid staff. The mandate is to provide patient care and comfort in the hospital by providing equipment & furniture not provided through government funding. Volunteers also support medical & laboratory staff and guide patients in the hospital to their desired department. The Auxiliary also provides funding to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation and Grey Bruce Health Services to assist in the purchase of equipment for the hospital and also for the current MRI fundraising program.
