It appears on the charity register the way hospitals, universities, and other publicly funded bodies do — to issue tax receipts — rather than as a donation-driven charity in the usual sense.
In its own words
Our board (almost all the members of the board have served on charitable boards) decided to create a charitable foundation to seek donations to help support some of the shortfall the public education system is experiencing. Our cause is to provide funding to allow reptilia's curriculum enrichment programs to be broadly available to the public education community.
