P.a.l.s. - project adult literacy society is a community based organization in which volunteers from the community at large mentor adults who have literacy challenges so that they become functionally literate. The programs are: literacy - reading writing and comprehension; math literacy - basic math skills for daily living or to pass an entrance examination for an educational opportunity; literacy for english language learners - reading writing speaking and listening in english as a second language; and students for students - workshops for daily living.
