Public outreach - we provide public outreach in the form of friday night public open houses booked tours classes off-site events and special observatory openings for eclipses and meteor showers. Open houses are typically 2.5 to 3 hours in length depending on the sky conditions and start with short astronomically based talk followed by viewing through the main telescope located in the dome and telescopes positioned on the rear viewing desk.
