The foundation was incorporated under the canada not-for-profit corporations act on november 16 2015. It is a registered charity under the income tax act exempt from the payment of income taxes. The purpose of the foundation is to bring attention and funding to charitable organizations addressing some of the world's biggest challenges by collaborating with musical artists.
