Pictou county opportunity for men association provides counselling for adolescent and adult males that exhibit violent behaviour. The counselling is done on an individual and group basis. The association operates to provide an opportunity for men to take responsibility for their abusive behavior and to effect social change so that the underlying power imbalances no longer exist and to mentor males to ensure real and long term change in their attitudes and behaviours towards females and in their parenting relationships
