The society publishes an annual occasional paper and monthly newsletter presents the annual history awards and heritage awards and offers free monthly lectures on topics of historical interest. It provides ongoing support to hutchison house for year-round tours educational programs and heritage events. Additionally the society plays an active advocacy role through its involvement wiht pacac the city's museum advisory committee and other heritage arts and culture initiatives in peterborough.
