The festival holds competitions in march and april in the brampton and mississauga area. An awards concert is held at the end of the competitions to highlight exceptional performances. Prizes are awarded after the competition to certain performers in recognition of their talents and work. These competitions provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate their proficiency in various music and speech arts and receive professional feedback and encourgement
