About 2500 open heart patients a year are visited at the three surgery and many 'feeder' hospitals by pacific open heart association 'open heart' volunteers to provide support and encouragement. The poha maintains a website distributes the pacific heartbeat newsletter twice a year and holds an annual golf tournament to celebrate life after open heart surgery.
