The OPWHL is a wheelchair floor hockey league and provides a recreational and competitive wheelchair hockey program which also includes an important social component for people with disabilities. There are 3 recreational teams and 2 competitive team. Recreational league games and playoffs run from September to April/May. An annual Awards Banquet is held in June of each year and the competitive teams participate in yearly National and North American tournaments.
