The ottawa dog rescue's purpose is to rescue dogs from abusive dangerous and neglectful situations. The dogs are given medical care if necessary and are placed in a foster home until they can be matched with a new home. The organization also works to generate education and awareness about various topics regarding pet ownership such as the importance of spaying and neutering. Throughout the year various fundraising events take place such as barbeques golf tournaments live music events etc. The greater the fundraising revenue the more dogs requiring medical attention can be taken in.
