The Order of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate is a world-wide Roman Catholic Canadian Congregation of Priests and brothers founded after the French Revolution in 1816 to work among the poor. The Canadian Congregation was formed in 1891. The objects of the Order of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate in the Province of BC is to establish and carry on mission work erection and carrying on of schools colleges churches orphanages and hospitals for the spiritual and temporal benefit of people.
