Onelinght theatre develops and produces original theatre productions and presents the works of other canadian theatre artists. In 2021 onelight was primarily engaged in developing new works (programming was limited due to covid restrictions). Work took place primarily in halifax and ottawa. Onelight supports emerging artists through the firestarter mentoring program. Through its work onelight typically serves minority stakeholders-immigrants people of colour and indigenous communities artists and audiences.
