The northwest animal shelter society operates an animal rescue rehabilitation and adoption centre to serve smithers and surrounding areas. Ongoing programs remain unchanged educating the public about the importance of spaying and neutering pets and the problems associated with pet overpopulation using our website posters newsletters and social media. We continued our low income spay and neuter program that makes the cost of altering pets more affordable to lower income individuals and area rescuers.
