In its own words
The association provides a recovery centre for the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned wildlife and provides a centre to make the public mor aware of wildlife and their problems in the area. At the discovery centre donations are received from the visiting public garage sales school tours and similar fund-raising activities. Over the past few years the centre has created a bear recovery area where injured and orphaned black bears are rehabilitated and hopefully released back into the wild.
