Nikkei seniors health care and housing society operates two non-profit senior residences. New sakura-so residence (opened in 1998) and nikkei home (opened in 2002). New sakura-so is a 34 unit apartment for independent seniors and nikkei home is a 59 unit apartment providing supportive and assisted living services for its residents. The society currently has 37 members report to its membership annually at its annual general meeting. On a daily basis the society offers programs promoting independence dignity and choice for seniors. The society also provide workshops for volunteers families …
