The main programs of the society are to collect preserve research educate exhibit interpret and design programs from a collection of historical artifacts and archival material covering the history of japanese canadian society from the 1870's through to world war ii to present day; to provide cultural educational and community programs and events; and to develop partnerships with other cultural organizations in presenting programs and events in order to further japan canada relations and increase cross cultural understanding.
