In its own words

Collecting and preserving local history and making it available to the general public. Keeping our historical room open two days a week as well as on special event days. Maintaining a quarterly newsletter a website with information about the socitey as well as lots of historical data. Our volunteers continue to support our activities with about 10 hours each week individually - and about 1400 hours collectively annually. Our volunteers supported the work of our two summer students as they digitize our collection.
