The programs encourage and provide opportunities for the public to participate in musical performances competitions festivals workshops and musical education programs for the general public. Activites and programs contribute to the aquisition presentation and display of music intruments including pianos pipe organs and electronic keyboards as well as historical artifacts and memorabilia that chronicle the history and development of music in general.
