Nanoose community services is a local organization operating programs including the food bank and christmas elf project aimed at assisting low income residents in the community of nanoose bay. Clients are given 'grocery only' cards purchased from the local quality foods grocery chain. The society continues to provide payments for prescription drugs hydro bills and various other items when people find themselves in emergency situations.
