Mothers matter centre is an early childhood education program that recognizes the power of the parent as a child’s first and best teacher. Launched in israel over 40 years ago this unique and integrated program supports families and children at risk through home visits. The program works with low income and socially excluded families teaching parents to help their children to succeed. It also provides an opportunity for parents to build confidence and literacy skills which leads to increased parental involvement in the community.
