The charity was established to create the mcmurtry gardens of justice to honour the values of the rule of law and to increase awareness of the rights protected by our laws. The garden was names in honour of the retired chief justice of ontario the honourable roy mcmurtry for his outstanding contributions to canadian life and influence on social and constitutional legislation in a number of different countries around the world.
