Msaf accepts donations to award to past graduates for academic achievements. The msaf provides assistance for graduates of manitoulin secondary school to further peruse their at an education post secondary institute. Msaf awards students for their achievements in the school year. Msaf determines some awards by academics and others by financial needs. Msaf honours members of the manitoulin island community who have died through memorial awards bursaries and scholarships.
