There was a time in the early 1900's when the world's elite travelled and experienced the beauty of the lake of bays aboard the majestic wooden steamships. The ss bigwin is the last of the original fleet of steamships. The restoration of the bigwin is now complete although the boat requires yearly maintenance. In 2014 after getting approval from transport canada the society offered both public and private cruises to enable new generations to explore and enjoy the lake of bays the way our forbearers did. The society operates a museum that contains many nautical artifacts as well as historical…
