Isthmus is a canadian charity that provides food for hungry students during the weekends. Through various programs isthmus raise funds and then arranges to have backpacks filled with food for kids to take home on friday evening which are returned empty on monday morning to be filled again for the next coming friday while many students are supported by school lunch programs isthmus is one of the only programs in the country to provide students with reliable access to food that bridges the food security gap they experience over the weekends.
