Indian equity foundation provides donations to community development programs and scholarships to post-secondary students. The company ceased active businesss operations december 31 1987 when its subsidiary alberta indian investment corporation took over the business operations. Effective march 14 2008 100% of the shares of alberta indian investment corporation were transfered to 678 first nations trust.
