Founded in 1932 the organization holds a competitive music festival for 2 weeks every april. The festival provides opportunities for music and performing arts students from owen sound and surrounding area to be with professional adjudicators and to perform before an audience. Financial awards and scholarships are presented to assist musicians and performers in their careers. Sponsorships is also provided for recommended participants to attend the ontario music festivals association (omfa) provincial finals.
