The gellatly nut farm society was formed by a number of concerned residents of the community to save the last lakefront property and nut orchard for all of the residents and their children and future generations to enjoy studying history and understanding their heritage. Some programs to raise funds include: back sales silent auctions wagon rides canvassing but sales hot dog sales calligraphied receipts phone campaigns and corporate solicitations.
