The gananoque book drive promotes literacy in the gananoque area by distributing books to the local elementary students. Schools included are linklater public school st. Joseph r.c.s.s. And thousand islands elementary school. Generous sponsors provide the funds to purchase age appropriate books. In june volunteers take the books to the schools; students select a book to take home and keep. We did not do any fundraising this year (although we received one unsolicited donation) or purchasing just the book distribution in the schools.
