The purpose of the Friends of High Park Zoo is to ensure there is a free community zoo in High Park for all to enjoy. We support High Park Zoo for the benefit of all visitors by leading activities that engage the community while advancing education and awareness of the zoo. In 2025 the City of Toronto will be beginning year 1 of its 4 year year plan to 'renovate' the zoo. Our part of this renovation is that we raised $200 000 of the $4 200 000 budget. The remaining $4 000 000 was donated from the City of Toronto the province of Ontario and the federal government.
