In its own words
We carry out ecological monitoring restoration and education programs on cortes island. This includes lake stream marine and wetland stewardship programs involving research monitoring and habitat restoration. We also manage and maintain five regional district parks and four beach access trails. Additionally we operate a public environmental resource library publish educational materials and other events and activities that teach people about local sustainability and ecological stewardship.
