Under the rcmp community policing program volunteer members conduct patrols covering the communities of east ship harbour murphy cove pleasant harbour and tangier on watch for suspicious activities and vehicles. These patrols assist the sheet harbour detachment of the rcmp in controlling crime in the above communities. Members receive a token payment for each patrol towards fuel costs.
