The purpose of the fort york foundation is to raise manage and disburse funds for the benefit of the fort york national historic site. The visitor centre opened in 2014 but remains incomplete. The fort york foundation continues to raise funds for completion of the visitor centre and also for other capital projects within fort york national historic site.
